Designed to offer cool, comfortable accommodation for honeymooners, couples or single travellers – each kabana has its own large netted double bed, bathroom and private terrace: some made entirely of palm thatch, others with elevated coral foundations.

Sited on a raised sand dune at the center of Kizingoni Beach, the KABANAS share a fabulous pool/dining area with panoramic views of the channel and the ocean. As in the Kizingoni Beach houses, our chefs will deliver a delicious daily menu, which can be enjoyed on the top communal dining deck or, on request, in the privacy of your kabana.

The KIZINGONI KABANAS have access to a speed boat, on request, and have full use of the Kizingoni Beach water sports, safari and massage services.

At present we have 6 single and 1 double kabana available for rent: Frangipani, Palm Breezes, High Tide, Low Tide, Neep Tide, Spring Tide, with the The Old Laundry providing the double. The kabanas are carefully sited to allow for maximum privacy surrounded by indigenous trees, shrubs and bird song.

Located to the south of Diani Beach, where the coast consists of cliffs above the beach, the secluded Msambweni Beach House looks out across the Indian Ocean.

There are three large and beautifully designed Swahili-style double rooms in the main house. In front of this, possibly the largest infinity pool on the coast truly lives up to the name, stretching from inside the house itself – where you can dip your toes in what passes informally for the reception area and bar – out to what appears to be cliff edge itself.

Accessed by a boardwalk just south of the pool, is the separate, distinctive and more rustic-style Ocean Suite, which often appeals to honeymooners with its rustling palm-frond thatch and breezy, open sides.

On the north side of the main house, slightly downhill, are three private villas, each with its own pool.

On the clifftop at the edge of the property, there's a sundowner platform, with a fireplace - a lovely spot to socialise with other guests in the evening if you want to.

The activities you can do at Msambweni Beach House run the gamut, from cycling through the nearby bush and farmland on one of their mountain bikes to various excursions, or simply chilling on the beach, in the deep shade of the coral cliff, with a cold drink at arm's length.

Our view
With its white walls, distinctive Swahili-style architecture and stunning infinity pool, this is one of the Kenya coast's most enchanting places to stay. You'll be quickly seduced, by the combination of light, space and colour around the house and villas, by the intriguing and almost deserted beach and caves at the bottom of the cliff, and by the graceful, low-key service of the staff.

Ideal length of stay: 3 nights or more.
Directions: Access is usually via Diani Beach (Ukunda) Airport, followed by a road transfer of about an hour. Mombasa Airport is roughly a three-hour road transfer. If you're transferring to or from from Mombasa, the Likoni ferry crossing, linking Mombasa Island with the south coast mainland can sometimes add significantly to journey times, especially at rush hours.

SheerDrop country home is a 7 bedroomed self-catering property located approximately 12 kilometers from Nakuru town. The property can accommodate of 4 - 14 guests. SheerDrop which has an unparalleled view of the Menengai crater was developed with an aim of providing relaxation in a country environment within an idyllic and tranquil setting. This property is designed to provide an optimum degree of privacy and entertainment for family and friends taking a break from busy city life.

This vacation home is developed in a modern architectural design covering three floors. The ground floor houses a family room, which is ideal for children’s play. Alternatively, the room can be used as a study room due to its calm and quiet nature. The ground floor also provides two bedrooms, one of which is ensuite.

Moving up to the first floor, the house is equipped with an elegant open plan kitchen designed with a central island. The floor also houses a spacious living room with an entertainment unit including a TV and internet connection for quality family entertainment. This room opens out to a wide balcony providing an outstanding view of the Menengai crater. In addition, the first floor has a cloak room and a separate ensuite bedroom with a shower and bathtub.

The second floor houses the other four bedrooms, two of which provide beautiful views of the crater. The master bedroom is equipped with a luxurious bathroom which includes a bathtub and a shower. In addition there is a TV area which opens out to a large balcony with covered seating for six.

The Lower Level consists of 2 Bedrooms with restricted views and a Family/Play room which has a TV.

One of the Bedrooms is ensuite with a shower. The lower level has an additional shower/ Bathroom and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

TOP FLOOR:
The Top Level consists of 4 spacious bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. The Master bedroom has a luxurious bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower. 2 rooms have beautiful views of the crater.

In addition there is a comfy family room equipped with a TV which opens out to a spacious balcony. The Balcony has relaxed seating and enjoys a wonderful view of the crater. On this floor there is also a study cm reading area with a working desk. Internet access is available.

FIRST FLOOR:
The first floor consists of an extra bedroom. The room is large and spacious, fully ensuite with both a bath tub and shower and overlooks the front of the house

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the largest Parks in Kenya and home to all of the big 5. Any visit to Kenya and to Nakuru is not complete without a visit to a National Park.

Lake Bogoria

Lake Bogoria is one of the largest shallow soda lakes and is a 90km drive from Nakuru along a road that is tarmacked most of the way to the Lake. Bogoria houses the famous hot springs where Flamingoes dot the lake and offer a pink vista to enjoy. A visit here makes for an enjoyable day trip and a picnic day out. Visitors to the springs may be seen boiling eggs and potatoes in some of the hot springs.

MENENGAI CRATER

A drive up to the Menengai crater offers spectacular views of the Rift Valley and is popular with tourists and schools groups. The more adventurous can take a hike into the crater.

THOMPSONS FALLS

From Nakuru one can take a day trip to Thompsons fall through the scenic Nyahururu road which is in fairly good condition. A drive from Nakuru will take approximately 2 hours one way and the falls make for great photo opportunities. One can also hike down to the base of the falls and the scenic drive offers photographic opportunities of the unblemished and beautiful Kenyan countryside.

KIVU RESORT

Do the Kids want to spend a day out swimming, the Kivu resort in town has a large pool and has an open restaurant serving Nyama Choma (roast meat) and a variety of other meals.

There’s also a children’s playground.

A small cozy romantic get-away house is situated on Champagne ridge, Ngong hills, overlooking the Great Rift Valley. Built and designed solely by the landlord to blend in with the serene environment.
The house is great for couples to enjoy a romantic time away from all the bustle of the city. There are a great number of activities that can be enjoyed from hiking down and up the hill sides to cycling to nearby Maasai villages for a cultural experience, motorcycling, yoga, painting, photography, BBQ's, reading, writing, bird watching or just plain relaxing ;) Pets will love the space and freedom!
The sunsets are spectacular!

Note: There is wildlife in the area such as the baboons, dik dik, buffalo and sometimes on rare occasions you can hear the distant calls of a hyena at night.
The entire house and compound is available to guests. There is a caretaker on site when needed!
The surrounding environment is open and free for exploration (One can even purchase a goat/sheep for choma [bbq] from the local Maasai).

Dogs allowed provided you look after them.

Getting Around
To access the house we recommend travelling with a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle (especially during the rainy season) as the road can be tricky. The area is fairly remote though there has been an increase in farms over the past year. The closest big town -Kiserian is a 30 minute drive away so please come fully stocked and prepared!
Other Things to Note
The house solely relies on rain water, so please use it sparingly.
The house also solely relies on solar power. Please do not abuse the power! Switch off unnecessary lights.
No high powered appliances allowed so as to conserve power.

Please respect the surrounding flora and wildlife.No parties or events permitted. This is a couples retreat.
No children allowed under the age of 12.

Longonot View House is located in Naivasha with a vistas of Mt. Longonot on one side and Lake Naivasha can be viewed from the front Porch. The house has a private swimming pool. It is approximately 10-15 minutes’ drive to Naivasha town.

The house has 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 twin), 2 bathrooms and comes fully furnished. The house comes with 3 domestic staff. There is night guard, day watchman with 2 dogs and a caretaker who makes sure the house is clean and everything is in order. To increase security there is an electric fence all around the property.

The Neighbourhood
Nyali Estate is the most central place you can be at the coast. The apartment is very safe with the Nyali Police Station just at the end of our street. There is the Nyali Health Club directly opposite us with a gym, spa and salon, plus all kinds of fitness classes. The beach, Nakumatt 24-hour supermarket and the Nyali Cinemax complex with the choice of 3 movie screens, Bollywood Bites (Indian Restaurant), Roberto's (Italian Restaurant), Mocha Cafe (coffee, vegetarian and sheesha cafe), Bollywood Bowl (bowling alley) and Swahili Dishes (local Swahili food) are just 5 mins away from the house. Two streets down is Koroga bar and grill. From here there is also easy access to the town centre (15 min) and the airport (25 min).
Also in the Nyali area you have the Tamarind Restaurant & Dhow, Nyali Golf Club, Mamba Village Crocodile Farm, shopping malls, several beach hotels, bars & restaurants, local hand-made souvenir vendors, churches, temples and mosques.
Getting Around
If you want to let your hair down and be adventurous, tuk tuk's, boda boda's and matatu's are how some people move around. Also available are car rentals and taxi's that can be recommended by the caretaker of the apartments. Taking a stroll is also lovely, especially in the early mornings and late afternoons when the weather is cooler! We encourage you to use private transport options at night as public means after 7.30pm are very infrequent.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is cleaned once a day from 10:00 a.m. A baby-cot can be provided upon request. Laundry services are also available at a small fee, as is a car wash.

Newly built and right by the sea, Pembe Nane is a luxury holiday home with a Swahili twist. Four large, en-suite double bedrooms open out through double doors onto either the deep, cool verandah wrapped around the middle floor, or onto private balconies open to the stars.

Positioned to maximize panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, the master suite on the third floor commands 180° views. The pièce de résistance of this house must be the central bar entertainment area: cited in the centre of the first floor to capture the evening breeze, this large bar opens onto the main verandah and also onto a small sundeck perfectly positioned to enjoy sundowners at the days end.

Ceiling fan and mosquito nets are featured throughout Pembe Nane. All rooms other than the master can be made up as doubles or twin rooms. One en-suite bedroom plus a small child’s room/study on the top floor have air-conditioning if the cooling pool is not enough. Cleverly designed to include a swim lane, the large pool nestles beside a Makuti roofed clubhouse. Pembe Nane’s kitchen is fully equipped and features a wide six-burner stove and oven, a large fridge freezer and the all-important drinks chest fridge.
A little north of the beaten track, Pembe Nane offers privacy, quiet, state-of-the-art security facilities as well as beach access at low tide to enable exploration of the unspoiled reef. Although fully independent, Pembe Nane shares a plot with Tusitala House and so the two homes together can offer accommodation for up to 16 people.

The Pink House is a beach front property with 5 bed rooms, situated close to the Marine Park. It has a Pool and direct access to the beach. As well as 4 double rooms and one twin room there are 4 bathrooms and a large inside dining and lounge area with wooden shutter doors that open up onto the verandah overlooking the pool and the sea. The house has good security with an overnight security guard and also gated to the beach and main road. All bedrooms have air con and there is also an automatic standby generator. The Pink House is a short taxi ride into Malindi Town where there are good shopping facilities, nice Restaurants and Bars.

Fisherman’s Camp is blessed with a prime position on Lake Naivasha, 20km along the South Lake Road from Naivasha Town. Naivasha is an hours’ run from Nairobi on the main Nairobi – Naukuru Highway. This passes spectacular views of the Rift Valley and imposing extinct volcano Longonot as they open out from the road below you.

The Camp has a range of cottages and bandas (small chalets) to suit all budgets either at the lake edge on bottom camp, or overlooking spectacular lake views at Top Camp.

Kwasi: Self contained double room with fully equipped kitchen, overlooking Lake Naivasha.

Kitete: Self contained room with one double and two singles, overlooking Lake Naivasha.
