BACK GROUND

Bipo is a family support organization duly registered under certificate no N/2010/67891 pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the registration of the business names act (cap. 499, section 14) with core values focused on Christian family life education. Bipo in collaboration with sustainable development for widows orphans and vulnerable programme organization (SUDWOP) a

lso links other world and non- governmental organization professional counselors with institutions of learning and community in general for information sharing. BIPO (Becoming Initiative, Practical & Oriented) organization is a result of a dream and a desire to transform the society for the better through empowering individuals to be responsible leaders in their own capacities.The dream is shared among Nine youths from Kenya;-Harold Odhiambo, Dorothy Mutwol Erick Maiben, Nesh, Eugene Orunga, Gladys Mwashegwa, Samuel Osia,Sheila Antonate, and Stephen Mbau, who are the founders of this organization. They are all students at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya, each specializing in a different area of study hence the different educational backgrounds ensures a wide range of information, skills and expertise available from each person. Their desire to achieve this dream was greatly enhanced after they took part in the Ascent Leadership Training at Kenyatta University. It is after going through the training that they felt the need to reach out to many other people who may not get to be part of the Ascent Leadership Training. In the Ascent Leadership Training, they acquired the necessary skills required to run the BIPO organization. THE ORGANIZATION NAME
BIPO represents our main idea which should be to transform the society through enabling individuals to become self aware and have the drive to be the change they want in society (Becoming Initiative).This can only be done through giving practical solutions to the problems of both individuals around us and the entire society (practical) and aiming at some goal or a particular point of focus where we all wish our society could be (Oriented). ORGANIZATION PHRASE

Bipo believes that as much as Africans, Kenyans especially have been exploited historically by the status quo of today’s world, Kenyans still have the power to change the cause of their lives. Therefore Bipo seeks to ignite the passion of Kenyans to adopt positive culture, to be aware of their environment and put Kenyans on the road towards self actualization. This can only be achieved through disposing the fatalistic ideology that has greatly hampered self actualization and in place adopt smart ways of dealing with our problems. AIMS
a) Development and enhancement of the capacities of people to better manage their
every day lives through counseling and provision of accurate and appropriate
Information on which to make informed choices. b) Improvement of the quality of lives and welfare of BIPO’s clients and their
dependants through various customized activities. c) Transform the lives of communities to their at most well-being
Bipo is dedicated to making a difference by offering services and programmes
designed to change our cultures prevent abuse, neglect and many other forms of
challenges that families, groups and individual face. We value the dignity of those we server. VISION
“To improve and holistically encourage formation of a smart and sustainable society, where individuals, groups and communities have better leadership skills to transform and drive the society towards a positive direction.”
1.7 Goal
Improve the livelihood of people living and working within and beyond our communities. OBJECTIVES
1) Initiating, supporting and participating in family life education programmes.
2) Providing counseling services assisting individuals and group to cope with every day pressure of life.
3) Promote the rights of the child for better society.
4) Addressing and mitigating the prevalence of HIV/AIDS.
5) Promoting drug free environment in families and institutions of learning.
6) Providing basic health training (personal Hygiene).
7) Advocate for the adoption of a positive culture.
8) Create, enhance and instill social responsibility.
9) To build self – esteem of our clients.
10) Expose the youth, students to the international world (environment).
11) Provide clients with skills which can be exploited for economic independence.
12) Create employment opportunities.
13) Create a tailor made exquisite, informative, interactive experience that will be the turning point in the lives of clients

TARGET GROUP
BIPO operates in both the urban and rural areas of our society. We believe in the centrality of humanity that we share, thus BIPO believes that only a sincere joint effort to empower both folks from urban and rural areas will enable the Kenyan nation experience a total transformation towards better living. BIPO seeks to target.

PERSONNEL
BIPO’s personnel/staff are drawn from various professional fields and from diverse backgrounds. Therefore we have a richly diverse staff that is very committed and dedicated towards the goals of the organization. The BIPO staff is highly motivated and seeks a genuine transformation in the lives of those they serve. Driven by Christ’s example, BIPO’s staff operates under a servant leadership ideology and to this extent respect and genuine concern towards clients is highly upheld. The BIPO personnel are driven in their duties by a set of beliefs and core values and these are:
