A herd of 20 plus elephants provide a welcome distraction for the hard working teams at Kulalu on the rebuild
In the words of Chengo the builder from Watamu. "We are privileged to have these elephants,"
During these dry times, lots of plains game is coming to the River

Kulalu Camp as many of you know is a very special camp indeed for so many of us.
Part of her beauty is her riverside position which when the Galana River floods often results in damage to this beautiful camp.
This is not the first time that she has been flooded or rebuilt, and each time it happens it is far from easy.
So it is with much relief and joy that we announce that Kulalu is being restored and will be reopening soon!

Richard 66 years from Eco-resorts.com has ridden in the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest Mountain Bike Challenge every year forever, it seems. Supported by Melinda marshalling again, of course. What a husband and wife team working for communities and conservation.
Richard has spent the last week training in the Italian mountains - notching up 70 kms per day. Now that's dedication.

When your early morning safari walk takes you round and corner, and unexpectedly upon a whole fleet of (unconcerned) lions,
There's only one move, back up quietly and stealthily, and change your route.

Topi or "Blue Jeans" give birth with speed and protected by their herd. Melinda is back in Naboisho Conservancy in the Mara at Hemingways Ol Seki Observing a birth is always a wonder "Back up in the Mara again. This morning we were lucky enough to see a Topi giving birth. Topi give birth out in the open, next to their herd so they can look for predators. The calves are then encouraged to stand as soon as possible. From the start at 0808am to the last photo at 0843 was only 35 minutes" #ecoresortseastafrica #wildlifephotography #topi #bluejeans #Naboisho #Mara #kenya

A sweep of clips and memorable bits not yet already featured this week.

Of course the prolific families of lion and some rather lovely shots of moments around camp
