Watuuuu, kujeni hapa we do some travel maths.
Fast of ooo i have a question, between luxury Holiday Appartments and hotel accommodation, which one do you prefer? Coast to be specific?
Okay let's talk, lets say you are 6 people wanting to spend a holiday at Mombasa and you have both options.

Pick a standard beach hotel, that's going for 13,000 ksh full board a night for a double room.
So those are 3 rooms, 13000 × 3 =39,000. For three nights that will be 39,000 ×3= 117,00 the hotel accommodation only. When you add SGR /flight and transfers total budget wi be atleast 120,000.

Pick a good luxury Appartment, 3 bedroom, that comfortably carries 6 pax.The Appartments are fully furnished with equipped kitchen and living room. A standard one near the beach it will be 10,000 ksh a night for the 3 bedroom. Therefore 10,000 × 3 nights will be 30, 000 ksh. That is accommodation only. Upon arrival you can discuss with your booking company to customize a food menu for you. For 6 pax mkikula sana mtakula food worth 16,000. So far you have spent 46,000 ksh.you are on holiday so no need to cook for yourselves, hire a chef to do it. A good chef will be 1500 per day. He will cook everything for you from breakfast to dinner and he will do this at your convenient time,mkitaka lunch at 4pm issokay, breakfast at 12 pm no problem. So you will have spent a total of 50,500 on accommodation and meals. That means you have saved more than 60k during the holiday compared to taking a beach resort . Thus you can have enough cash to travel around Mombasa, do boatrides, check out Mtwapa kidogo masaa ya usiku, explore South Coast and maybe fly back to Nairobi.

However both options give a good holiday experience. In hotels you stay like a boss, you just wake up and to follow their routine. In luxury apartments you have the freedom to live however you want but if you break anything, you must pay before leaving. Also almost daily you will have few consultations with the chef mkiulizana leo mtakula saa ngapi ama mtakula nini..

Conclusion.
It all matters what you want to experience the difference is very minimal. But money is everything. so whenever you have a chance to experience good life and save money at the same time, that is a good deal.
