First impressions to choose accommodation under Accor management chains hotels for my second trip in Melbourne,
I booked Movenpick Hotel in Melbourne via Booking.com
My first notice of my arrival at the hotel reception for check in
1) extra charge for credit card payment ( no mention in booking.com and hotel website)
2) breakfast close at 10:00am Monday to Friday and 11:00am Saturday and Sunday.
It means your breakfast will be at 6:00am and 7:00am in Asian countries. I arrived at restaurant at 10:06am, the restaurant supervisor don’t allow to go in.
3) We stay for 7 nights , the hotel room service give only two complimentary bottles of water per room for the first check in day. The other 6 nights, they don’t provide complimentary water.
4) breakfast time, only croissant , sandwich, hotdog fries egg, soft drink, coffee machine ( self-service) if you want hot latte, you have to pay extra even the breakfast is included.
Conclusion of my trip
» The hotel location is good
» No welcome services.
» Breakfast is limited, serve only western breakfast
» Encourage to pay in cash or debit card.
» Not encourage stay longer.
» Not welcome Asian travelers
( 4 hours difference, breakfast close at 10:00am) Asian travelers don’t at 6:00am in their countries)
» Not clear information to provide travelers via Booking.com about credit card payment with extra charge.
