Time to gives some back to our community. :)
We are so excited to announce our new Not-for-Profit sector of Whole Lotta Soul Collective 🌿
✨✨Soul Food✨✨
The Soul Food Fund is an initiative created from our heart and souls to give back directly to the beautiful community of Cambodia. 🍃
We knew from the beginning of starting up that we wanted to create a Not-for-Profit slice to the brand but in these trying times it just created itself so organically and we realised how we could just keep it simple and still make in immense impact on helping those who need it most in the Cambodian Community.
How will work?
Well every month we will dedicate a specific portion of our intake to a special cause or to supporting an existing Not-for Profit organisation doing good in our community, as there are so many incredible organisations already doing good.
🌿
For the remainder of April and the month of May %100 of Loz’s intake from weekend Yoga Classes will go directly into the Soul Food Fund.
All classes will be donation based so feel free to donate what you can afford and join the class. Or if you don’t want to join but still wish to donate of course that’s appreciated too. 💛
Who are this months Recipients for the Soul Food Fund?
Well to this special chapter we have decided to distribute the funds ourselves in the form of bags of rice & fish for families to make long lasting dry fish.
We have done our research and checked where Food is already being distributed so we aren’t overlapping. The village we have decided to distribute food to, we know well and are located right by Angkor Wat. Many of the families run small shops near the temples and many of the families started these shops on finance too. With a relentless downfall in tourism each year especially the last 2 years the families were already struggling to stay ontop of their debts and put food on the table. Now due to Covid-19 and having been forced to stay at home due to no customers and extreme health concerns, they’re in a world of heaviness, struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
One way we can carry loving care quite effortlessly from one human to another is to provide some food for the table. With each household averaging around 10 people, a bag of rice and fresh fish to preserve can go surprisingly far in uplifting the hearts of these beautiful people in trying times.
If you wish to donate directly or join a class where all proceeds go directly to The Soul Food Fund and back to the people...please watch this space for announcements on how to do so... or DM us if you know of a wonderful Not-For-Profit organisation already giving back to the Cambodian Community so we can consider them for the future.
Love & light
