GOLF AND TOUR EXCURSIONS
Golfers (and non-golfers) Delight
At Cayman’s North Sound Club, a par 71, 6605-yard championship golf course, golfers will enjoy challenging play, perennial postcard views, and sun-drenched fairways. While challenges abound with the prevailing Caribbean trade winds and with water coming into play on 15 of the 18 holes, the five sets of tee boxes allow an enjoyable opportunity for even the novice golfer.
The signature hole, #11, is a long par-3 into the wind with the majestic North Sound as the backdrop, a must for photo enthusiasts. Adorned with native foliage including mahogany, coconut palms and silver thatch, the Club is also home to several native birds, and it is not uncommon to share the fairways and greens with sunbathing iguanas of all sizes. NSC amenities include a full-service practice facility, quality club rentals and a fully-stocked Pro Shop. (Players will be responsible for applicable golf fees, US$175 per person and US$50 for rental clubs, to be paid directly to NSC.)
Once the golfers are dropped off and begin what is sure to be a stellar round of golf, only your imagination (and three hours!) is the limit to what will be in store for the non-golfers. You may choose from any of the half-day tours including the West Island Excursion, Cayman Wildlife, It’s All About Art, or Adult Beverage Tour or alternatively, customise your own Cayman experience with any number of activities such as a private yoga session, paddle boarding lessons, shopping or perhaps a wine tasting experience.
At the conclusion of the round of golf, golfers and non-golfers will reunite and be delivered to Catch Restaurant and Lounge for lunch on your own where you will enjoy Cayman’s fresh locally caught seafood with a Caribbean twist. Never has the saying 'Ocean to Plate' been truer. Local fish is caught daily and prepared by a team of talented international chefs. Located in tranquil Morgan's Harbour just north of the golf course, in addition to amazing food and drink, the breezy waterfront restaurant boasts panoramic views of Grand Cayman's stunning North Sound.
