That Ing Hang, Savannakhet

One of the most holy sites in Southern Laos, That Ing Hang is believed to be a place where the Buddha rested against a tree while on a long pilgrimage through Southeast Asia. Locals believe that inside the stupa is a piece of one of the Buddha's bones, so it is an exceptionally spiritual area. This stupa was renovated by King Saysetthathirath in the 1500s into its current form.
