Bookings now open for Hiriketiya’s slowwwwwwwww season (May - September) our favourite time of year to visit Hiri. Great weather, smooth waves and less crowds.

We’re also very lucky in Hiri to have consistent waves for 10 months of the year due to our horseshoe shaped bay. Our beach has two surf breaks… a gentle break in the middle of the cove (with up to a 50m ride towards the sand) for beginners and a fast left hander on the east (can give up to a 350m ride) for intermediates and experts. All this only a 3 minute walk from Sudu Villa.

Feel like venturing out of the village? Tucked away in nearby Nilwella, and only a short tuk tuk ride from Sudu Villa, lies one of the most beautiful natural features of the south coast… Blue Beach Island.

Walk along the sandbar to the palm filled island and follow the tracks for a relaxing stroll amongst the island’s rock pools. Or grab a coconut from the beach shack, laze in the sun and take a dip in the aqua waters lapping the sand bar. Blue Beach Island is one of our favourite places for sunsets when we’re in this part of the world.

Sudu Villa is now available to rent as two separate apartments... each space includes 2 bedrooms + 2 ensuites, kitchen, living / dining areas and their own private entrances.

Sudu Villa Poolside includes private courtyard and pool - from $250US per night (sleeps 4 people).

Sudu Villa Oceanview includes massive rooftop with its own kitchenette overlooking the sea - from $350US per night (sleeps 9 people).

Or you can ofcourse rent the entire villa to yourselves... price includes our full time Villa Manager. (Please note Sudu Villa cannot be separated into apartments in December, January or August).

Decisions, decisions… whilst our famous Hiriketiya horseshoe bay is a 3 minute walk from Sudu Villa, the long stretch of golden sand that is Pehembiya beach is only a 7 minute walk away.

Meet Charu…

We are so lucky to have our super star villa manager Charu as part of our Sudu Villa team. 🫶🏻

During your stay at the villa he’ll be on hand for all your daily housekeeping needs, as well as recommending restaurants / day trips, organising local transport and booking in-house chefs, massages and babysitting etc.

Shout out to our neighbours four doors down at Mond who not only serve our favourite morning coffees but epic chocolate croissants to match.

They also sling together some pretty special cocktails and tasting plates too… one of the best places in Hiri for sunset drinks overlooking the Indian ocean - apart from our rooftop terrace ofcourse!
