Elgin Falls is a waterfall in Sri Lanka, located in the Elgin tea estate which is 18 km from Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. The waterfall is 25 m in height. Elgin Falls is named after Elgin, a major town of Moray in Scotland. the falls is at about 1,500 m above sea level. There are several ways to access the waterfall.

Those moments that take you by surprise! 😍 This stunning waterfall just so happened to be the first waterfall we visited in Sri Lanka and to be honest, we weren’t sure what to expect. But all that uncertainty was washed away the moment we saw this massive waterfall, and to top it off we had the place to ourselves! We highly recommend breaking up the Kandy - Ella train ride with a stay in Nuwara Eliya, the scenery is breathtaking and be sure to visit this place, Ramboda Waterfall! Which one is your favourite?

Beyer - Garratt Locomotive Number 293 was built to run on the Uda Pusellawa Railway from Nanuoya to Ragala. in 1941 ,as shown this photographs. it was derailed at Nuwara Eliya .It's look like near to Holy Trinity College Hawa eliya This locomotive met with a serious accident near Nuwara Eliya when it was hauling a freight train at excessive speed in 1941 and was silent for some years. In 1944 this was repaired and this was seen again in service. It was returned to service in 1944 following repairs. Until the 1960s, H1 no. 293 was occasionally used on the Kelani Valley narrow gauge line.
