Here's your call to visit Koslanda in Sri Lanka ❤️. The town is home to the Uda Walawe nature reserve, which houses over 600 Sri Lankan elephants 🐘 and a number of different species of water birds 🐦, with the largest supply of water and fodder in the area. Keep an eye out for these wandering beauties 😍– ancient elephant trails have been maintained to allow the animals to move between the plains and the hills during the drier mid-year months. Their trail occupies a part of Devianga Kale, a sprawling forest that covers seven hills. A walk to the waterfall and south-flowing river is the key attraction, but the exotic flora and fauna will compete for your attention. Monkeys 🐒 and giant squirrels 🐿️ join the elephants in occupying the area, and jackfruit trees are dotted throughout the greenery. Relax at the Forest Ambalamba by the waterfall, a hut built for resting after a swim. Just five kilometres east of the village are the Diyaluma Falls, Sri Lanka’s second-highest waterfall.

Kaudulla National Park is located 190 km away from Colombo in the Polonnaruwa district of the north central province of Sri Lanka. ❤️❤️❤️

Kaudulla can be reached by Colombo- Trincomalee main road. The entrance to Kaudulla is 22 km north of the village of Habarana. The closest railway station is at Minneriya. 🤩The best time to visit Kaudulla National Park is between August and December, with the population of 🐘 elephants peaking to over 200 in September to October, following the period of the famous elephant gathering at Minneriya National Park 😮. However, the Elephants could be seen in either one of these parks during any time of the year.

The tower stands at a height of approximately 48 meters. Have the experience of a lifetime here ❤️❤️❤️ .

The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the ‘Bridge in the Sky’ was constructed by connecting two bog mountains ⛰️ when constructing the Badulla – Colombo railway 🚞. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height 😮. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The Bridge can be reached by travelling 2km on Gotuwala road starting from Halpe Textile centre in Badulla Bandarawela road. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase in tourism due to the bridge’s architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the nearby hillsides. ❤️

Just a few kilometres from Pasikuda Bay lies Kalkudah beach, a 4km long stretch of sand that is the vision of serenity. 🏖️ Kalkudah beach is the less-frequented neighbour of Pasikuda Bay, providing much the same experiences as the latter.

The unblemished sandy slice of paradise wasn’t always so. Back when the Tsunami hit in 2004, Kalkudah beach took quite the beating. After many years, it has been restored to its former glory, ✨ and now offers soft sands and glassy waters.
