Il détient depuis 2014 le record de France du 800 mètres en 1 min 42 s 53, et depuis 2016 le record d'Europe du 600 mètres en 1 min 13 s 21. Il a choisi la ville d’Agadir pour son stage de concentration pour préparer les Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo 2021.
