It’s been a challenging year, with several groups of tourists who returned to Moldova, with foreign journalists who are watching the changes our country is going through, with corporate teams and with a good portion of adventurous solo travellers. To all who joined us, thank you for your confidence and for being so incredibly flexible!

We have big plans in the coming year, including a better presence on our social media accounts :) It will definitely be a brighter, more positive season, when we can work closely with you again and assist our lovely customers to realize their travel dreams.

5 years might seem a little, but results are what count in the end. During this period, Moldova Tourist Information Center hosted over 16 thousand local and foreign tourists and managed to carry out dozens of activities to promote and develop our travel industry. As a member of Asociatia Nationala pentru Turism Receptor si Intern, the organization that manages the center, we wish our colleagues lots strength during these challenging times and pledge our support for many beautiful activities to come. This year DescOperă took revenge and offered a unique experience for the anniversary of the 5th edition of the event. For three days, from June 17 to 19, in the village of Butuceni, locals and guests from abroad participated in spectacular performances with quality music and high-value performers. We look forward to seeing you at other outdoor events in Moldova soon.

The first cycling route recently launched in Lunca Prutului de Jos is unique for the diversity of natural landscapes, but also for the people you will meet along the way - folk craftsmen, winemakers and musicians. Also on this route you will have an authentic culinary experience from the southern region. Adventure lovers can experience activities such as boating, bird watching or horseback riding. The route includes 9 artisans, 2 museums, traditional guest houses, wineries, but also some of the most beautiful viewpoints in Moldova, especially at sunset - Văleni Golden Hills and Beleu Lake - a perfect place to relax after a long biking day. with us and explore the South of Moldova on 2 wheels!

Difficult times encourage people to unite and fight together. And the war in Ukraine is the best example we could ever have. These are also the times that turn competitors into partners. Recently, we became members of the strongest tourism community in Moldova and that makes us proud. Together we will be able to overcome the challenges we face and to develop sustainable projects.

At the end of winter and the beginning of spring, the tourism industry in Moldova has shown its solidarity. They were among the first to open theor doors for Ukrainian refugees, offering them safe and warm places, food, transportation and everything that was needed. They are still helping them now. Here is some data collected between February 24th and March 6th, from 25 hotels, guest houses, wineries and restaurants: 6500 refugees housed, over 10000 meals offered and over 1000 transported people. We thank all the colleagues who mobilized and expressed the hospitality of our people.

Today we celebrate the courage of women all over the world, especially the ones from Ukraine who have taken their children to a safer place to live, but at the same time the efforts of women in Moldova, as they are doing their best to manage this humanitarian crisis. We wish you all peace and a world to travel for pleasure, not for the need to shelter from war.

De aceea, de Mărțișor, să împânzim Moldova și lumea întreagă cu gânduri de pace. Să fim solidari și săritori la nevoie.
