Ta Moke Shwe Gu Gyi

Located west of Kyaukse, this enormous temple complex is one of the finest archaeological sites in the country outside Bagan or Mrauk-U. but its remoteness and on-site lack of English signage make a visit challenging. Still, even without interpretive help this is a fascinating spot, anchored by a two-storey temple marked by sturdy brickwork and magnificent stucco reliefs. Some of the latter include scenes from the life of the Buddha, as well as depictions of animals, plants and mythological beings.

Be on the lookout for an 'encased' buddha consisting of three buddha statues built into each other, like stacking Russian dolls.

Kyaukse is about 24 miles south of Mandalay proper; the temple is west of Kyaukse, off the road that connects Rte 1 to the Yangon–Mandalay expressway. Note that there is no reliable public transportation to the temple itself. (Ref : Lonely Planet)

၂။ ယခုအခါ Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) ကာကွယ်၊ ထိန်းချုပ်၊ ကုသရေး အမျိုး သားအဆင့်ဗဟိုကော်မတီ၏ အစည်းအဝေး ဆုံးဖြတ် ချက်အရ နိုင်ငံတော်အစိုးရနှင့် ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက် လျက်ရှိသည့် ပြည်တွင်းရှိ စီမံကိန်းလုပ်ငန်းများ၊ စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းများ၊ ဆောက်လုပ်ရေး လုပ်ငန်း များနှင့် ဌာနဆိုင်ရာလုပ်ငန်းများ အကောင်အထည် ဖော်ရေးအတွက် အရေးတကြီး လာရောက်ရန်ရှိသည့် ပြည်ပနိုင်ငံများမှ နိုင်ငံခြားသားများအနေဖြင့် ၎င်းတို့ ၏လုပ်ငန်းများ စောလျင်စွာ ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရန် အတွက် Fast Track နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် သက်ဆိုင်ရာ နိုင်ငံမှ လေယာဉ် ပေါ်သို့မရောက်မီ(၃၆)နာရီအတွင်း စစ်ဆေးထားသော Laboratory Evidence of Absence of COVID-19 Infection (Real-Time RT-PCR Nasal Swab Result) ပါရှိစေရန်၊ မြန်မာ နိုင်ငံသို့ ရောက်ရှိချိန်တွင် သတ်မှတ်ထားသော Facility Quarantine ၌နေထိုင်၍ နောက်(၁) ရက် တွင် နှာခေါင်းတို့ဖက် (Nasal Swab)ယူ စစ်ဆေးခံ ယူစေရန်နှင့် စစ်ဆေးပြီးနောက် (၅)ရက် အကြာတွင် ဒုတိယအကြိမ် နှာခေါင်းတို့ဖက် (Nasal Swab)ယူ ထပ်မံစစ်ဆေးခံစေရန်၊ စစ်ဆေးချက် အရ PCR Result Negative ဖြစ်မှသာ လုပ်ငန်းခွင်သို့ ဝင် ရောက်စေရန်နှင့် ကျန်းမာရေးစစ်ဆေးမှု ကုန်ကျ စရိတ်အား သက်ဆိုင်ရာပုဂ္ဂိုလ်မှသာ ကျခံစေရန် လမ်းညွှန်ထားရှိပါသည်။

၃။ သို့ဖြစ်ပါ၍ ပြည်ပနိုင်ငံများမှ ပြည်တွင်းရှိ စီမံကိန်းလုပ်ငန်းများ၊ စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းများ၊ ဆောက်လုပ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများနှင့် ဌာနဆိုင်ရာ လုပ်ငန်းများအတွက် ဝင်ရောက်လာမည့် နိုင်ငံခြား သားများနှင့် ပုံမှန်ဝင်ရောက်မည့် နိုင်ငံခြားသားများ အနေဖြင့် အပိုဒ် (၂)ပါ ကျန်းမာရေးဆိုင်ရာ ဆောင်ရွက်ရမည့် ကိစ္စရပ် များကို သိရှိလိုက်နာ ဆောင်ရွက်ကြပါရန် အကြံပြုအပ်ပါသည်။

Advice to foreign nationals to be aware of and follow the health care guidelines when visiting Myanmar

Nay Pyi Taw, 21 July

1. The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been implementing plans for tourism development and plans to ensure security, safety, and convenience of international visitors traveling in Myanmar.

2. As stated by the National- Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control, and Treatment of Covid-19, it is instructed that foreign nationals in urgent need for implementing the projects, businesses, constructions and official matters that cooperate with the Myanmar Governments, wishing to enter Myanmar must present Laboratory Evidence of Absence of COVID-19 Infection ( Real-Time RT-PCR Nasal Swab Result ) taken 36 hours with the way of Fast Track before departure from their current destination. All arriving foreigners will be subject facility quarantine in the specific place and after a day, travelers must have a Nasal Swab test. 5 days after a test is done, travelers will also need to test Nasal Swab again and require proof of a negative PCR result to start at a workplace. There will be subject to testing at their own expense.

3. Based on this guideline, foreign nationals come to Myanmar for the purposes of national projects, businesses, constructions, and official matters and all international travelers need to follow the rules and regulations of health care guidelines mentioned above.

Mount Popa is an extinct volcano 1518 metres (4981 feet) above sea level, and located in central Myanmar in the region of Mandalay about 50 km (31 mi) southeast of Bagan. It can be seen from the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River as far away as 60 km (37 mi) in clear weather.

Me Nu Oak – Kyaung

The Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan is known as Me Nu Oak-Kyaung (Brick Monastery) and was built in 1822 by Nanmadaw Me Nu. She was the chief queen of King Bagyidaw. It was damaged by an earthquake of 1838 but was repaired in 1873 by Sinphyumashin, the daughter of Me Nu and a queen of King Mindon. This monastery is one of the finest specimens of Myanmar architecture during the Konbaung period (19th century). Its architecture is in simulation of a wooden monastery with multiple roofs and a prayer hall of seven-tiered superstructure. 👣🇲🇲💕
