A happy memory to share. One of our distinguished expedition guest lecturers Dr. Christopher P. Atwood is enjoying sundown with his peer travelers at the Flaming Cliffs, Gobi desert. Professor Atwood is the Department Chair of the Mongolian and Chinese Frontier & Ethnic History at the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, University of Pennsylvania. Many knows or heard about his excellent research works centered on the relation of culture and the formation of political power among the Mongols and the history in general. But only a few might know his excellent singing ability and above all, his talent of reciting almost complete verses of any song he joins to sing. We hope to have Dr. Atwood join us again in the near future, to lead and interpret Mongolia for our cultural experience seeking travelers. It is a true once-in-a-lifetime traveling experience. #Christopher_Atwood #Mongolia_study #Culture_of_Mongolia #History_of_Mongolia
