He will get you settled in your 3 person shared Jeep - you may choose to drive your Jeep or you have the option when placing the order to have a guide drive. The paved highway leads north out of Cabo San Lucas up the peninsula to Todos Santos about 90 minutes away. The views are majestic with the turquoise blue Pacific on one side and the towering Sierra de la Laguna Mountains on the other. Todos Santos is a small town that the distinction of being honored as one of Mexico's Magic Towns or Pueblos Magicos. It still holds its charm and quaintness today...no neon lights or fast food restaurants. You will find that it is a haven for artists who have flocked here - from painters to pottery to sculptors; you just might find it all right here. There are numerous shops that carry unusual hand crafted items and unique offerings. The architecture still has the old Mexico feel to it and is known for some really fascinating carved doors on the houses and buildings. Your certified guide will be giving you a lot of local information not only about the history of Todos Santos but also Baja and Mexico. You will walk the safe, uncrowded streets and see the famous Hotel California, the Lady of Pilar Church that dates back to the early 1700's, the museum, remnants of the original sugar cane mills, along with incredible views of the oasis below. Due to the abundant water supply from the oasis, this area boasts great year round crops of strawberries, avocado, papayas and much more. You will also have a great view of the Pacific too. After your walking tour, you will be treated to a relaxing Mexican lunch. There is free time afterwards to visit some galleries and shops before you have to head back in your Jeep to Cabo San Lucas and your cruise pier.
