Hola comunidad, es un gusto anunciar nuestros espacios abiertos al público en general, en colaboración con más personas locales y nativas de la cultura mazateca, como resultado del nuestos lazos y gusto por compartir nuestra cultura mazateca presentamos nuestro ciclo sabatino de talleres con la temática de "Lengua y Cosmovisión Mazateca" tomando lugar en Huautla de Jiménez, Oaxaca. Quedan todos invitados a asistir y ser un miembro más de una comunidad en búsqueda de perpetuar y difundir nuestros orígenes culturales y así mismo compartirlos con el mundo.

NOS MINTIERON...

Nos dijeron que éramos pobres porque eramos los que sembraban maíz y no los que lo compraban.

Nos dijeron que éramos pobres porque andábamos con los pies descalzos y no usábamos zapatos.

Nos dijeron que éramos pobres porque seguíamos el movimiento del sol para hacer nuestro día y tomábamos agua de los nacimientos, decían que nos faltaba la electricidad y el agua embotellada.

Nos dijeron que éramos pobres porque comíamos envueltos de mazorca y no caviar.

Nos dijeron que éramos pobres porque tejiamos y bordabamos nuestra ropa y no los que la compraban a las grandes marcas.

Nos mintieron... y les creímos.

Y nos salimos del campo, compramos maíz, compramos tortillas y ropa homogénea, nos compramos televisores y dejamos de contemplar los amaneceres y atardeceres del campo, nos encerramos en edificios en vez de correr por los senderos del bosque, empezamos a tomar agua con cloro y dejamos que se secaran los nacimientos y destruyeran nuestras más bellas montañas...

Nos mintieron, pero hemos despertado, ahora sabemos que los pobres son otros.

Dear relatives, community and friends of the four directions,

Our beloved sister Grandmother Julieta Casimiro Estrada closed her eyes for the last time on Monday, July 23rd, the day of Ajpu, which is the energy of the warrior. At the time of her passing it was a moment in which that energy was at its highest, midday.

Our Grandmother Julieta was a Warrior of the Light, a Curandera of the world; dedicating her whole life to prayer. Her songs moved all of us, through the Heavens and the Earth.

Our heartfelt condolences to Julieta’s family, her children and grandchildren, the people of Huautla de Jiménez and all those around the globe that were touched by her powerful prayers and love.

May it be so that the Virgin of Guadalupe and the Angels are by her side on her journey through the cosmos.

We will hold you always in our hearts, Abuela.
