Hurricane Beryl
Still without power after 36 hours. Many power lines were downed along the road.
A few trees are thinner now but otherwise we got through hurricane Beryl pretty well.
The eye of the hurricane was south of Villa Dakota about 35 miles.

On June 10, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rescinded the Order titled “Requirement for Negative Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test Result or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 for All Airline or Other Aircraft Passengers Arriving in the United States from any Foreign Country.”

This rescission takes effect for flights departing to the United States from a foreign country at or after 12:01am ET (4:01am GMT) on June 12, 2022

Mask update: masks are no longer required on your flights from the United States to Cozumel. However you will be required to wear a mask once you depart the plane in Mexico.
Masks are not required outdoors but are required indoors. Stores etc.
A negative Covid test is still needed within 24 hours of your flight to return to the U.S. That can still be done at Villa Dakota. A business card for Covid testing is inside.

Thank you. I’m glad you had a wonderful time.

Just spent another amazing week at Villa Dakota Cozumel with five girlfriends!!! This is the absolute BEST place to stay on the island!!! Steve and Nancy keep up a gorgeous and comfortable house, where you feel at totally home in paradise! With six of us we all had our own space and it never felt crowded. The grounds at Costa del Sol are beautiful and the pool is perfect. Dive with Julio picked me up at the private pier every day for amazing dives. Can’t wait to come back!!!
