The whiskered treeswift is a small bird native to SEA, known for its distinctive long, curved whisker-like feathers that extend from its face. They are agile fliers, gliding gracefully through the forest canopy. Unlike many other swift species, whiskered treeswifts perch conspicuously on exposed branches, making them easier to spot. They have a diet primarily consisting of insects, which they catch mid-flight. Whiskered treeswifts nest on the underside of tree branches, using saliva to glue their nests in place. Despite their widespread presence in various forested regions, they remain relatively understudied, contributing to their mysterious allure among ornithologists.
