Malaysia's parliament has amended laws to make Forest City in Johor, a state close to Singapore to become a duty free zone, attracting more foreign nationality to come and stay in the area.

Once approved by the Senate and the relevant laws are amended, Forest City would join the likes of Labuan, Langkawi, Tioman and Pangkor.

Malaysia has started the Premium Visa Program (PViP) program for highest category of passholder to do business, study & invest in Malaysia with no minimum requirement of stay.
