Do you know that Malaysia has a purple town? Come visit Jerantut

Go to the old part of Jerantut in Pahang and you’ll see many old two-storey shops painted a bright purple. The shops flank Jalan Besar from Bulatan Mat Kilau to Bandar Lama Jerantut’s clock tower. Even the large flowerpots on the road divider are painted purple.

Jerantut is a small town in Pahang, on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. The town is the main transport hub for visiting the Taman Negara National Park but most visitors do not take accommodation here preferring Kuala Tahan village right on the doorstep of the park, now that it has developed sufficient facilities.
