Promoveo is a group of Universiti Teknologi Mara student who took a Bachelor's Degree majoring in Event Management. It was officially established on February 22, 2010 after class for Event Management has been divided into two classes known as OEB11A & OEB11B. The name "Promoveo" appears to be another name for OEB11A when Muhd. Rahman, a former student of Law Foundation, suggested the name. Another
name proposed is "Dynamic" by Nik Fakaruddin Nik Maher but the name "Promoveo" has become a preferred member of this group and directly appoint Muhd. Fadhullah Abd. Rahman's first as a Project Manager for the Promoveo. The word "Promoveo", was taken from the Latin word referred to "Moving Forward" in English. For the second semester (OEB22A), new Project Manager was appointed to the Mohd. Shafiq Ahmad, a student holds a Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) and the class name is still retained as Promoveo. And we love to fight!! "Gerbang Mahsyar" is an event that contains forums, talks, montages performance, pantomime, Al-Quran recital, Islamic poetry declamations and sales booth. The sales booth is going to sell a variety of product such as foods, drinks, academic and Islamic books, Islamic outfits, health supplementary products, and many more. All the participants are compulsory to obey the dress code which is courteous and covering the “aurat” especially for the female participants. In planning an event and to bring it towards success is not an easy job especially for fresh graduates and first-timers like us. Apart from sharing information and experiences, we can also learn how to stage an event. We are proud to have this program because it’s done with the purpose to gain new knowledge and also to build new relationships and networks specifically with the experts from the event industry and corporate figures
