The fleet at Africa on Wheels Car Rental now consists of about 80 vehicles ranging from new to a couple of years depending on the category. Africa on Wheels specializes primarily in the business of four-wheel-drive vehicles (4x4). The four-wheel drive selection offers adapted solutions for the Namibian infrastructure, as well as all the necessary camping gear. All vehicles are serviced by our own workshop in order to ensure flexibility and the highest security standards. With our years of experience we are happy to give our customers a personal introduction to the vehicle and driving tips for tarr and off-road driving at the vehicle hand over. Africa on Wheels is now offering vehicles for Off-Road-Dune-Driving for self-drives. In addition to the countries Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, you can now travel with our approval into Angola. Namibia’s road network is known as one of the best in Africa. All of Namibia’s main roads are tarred. The majority of the roads are however sand and gravel roads. ‼️ Widespread rain throughout Namibia - Be cautious - insurance does not cover water damage‼️

C43 - Opuwo to Epupa.

Riverlets have damaged the road surface in some places.

‼️Caution advised when crossing rivers/river dips and driving through water‼️

‼️If you not sure, walk it first.

‼️If locals are standing at the side of the road with parked vehicles - don't be a hero and drive through

⛔Dont camp in riverbeds

⛔Dont just drive down Hoaruseb or Hoanib because the water is low - these rivers are nutorious for quicksand.

Numerous tourists have needed to be rescued this past week!
It's going to cost you a small fortune and something insurance does not cover

Dear Africa on Wheels Team,

We had a nice flight back and returned well home. We took home a lot of great memories in our hearts and of course a lot of photos as well.

Unfortunately we cannot rate you because we are not on Facebook and Instagram.

But the car was excellent for our trip and very well equipped. We enjoyed driving on all kind of roads and were very happy having no break downs (not even a flat tire due to very good tires ).

We would like to thank you for the good service and well maintained new car. For our next trip to Namibia we will choose Africa on Wheels again.
