No matter your condition there is a solution somewhere and we will get it together. OUR VALUES:

Our work seeks to create and sustain better futures by providing relief from disasters and conflicts, empowering women, fighting hunger, holding governments accountable, fighting HIV & AIDS, and making education accessible.
• HBB works with coalitions of poor and excluded people from around the world, bringing their perspectives to bear on policies that affect developing countries. We bring their voices into the Nigeria and Africa political arena and strengthen domestic support for changes in development policy.

• HBB works to improve the economic and social situation of the people by increasing access to income-generating activities and by providing required training to manage their activities

• Poverty is our problem. But we are hopeful. Our optimism comes from the people we work with every day. They are making change in spite of the odds they face. They are an inspiration. Together, we will end poverty once and for all.

• HBB work in partnership with communities and government, works to prevent and relieve poverty, combat distress and alleviate suffering in any part of the world regardless of race, gender, creed or political convictions

• Local access to water prohibits many children, particularly girls, from attending school as they must fetch water miles away. HBB’s Priority Project will build water and sanitation facilities for schools and communities

• To address these core themes, HBB provides solid research, targeted outreach, and timely advocacy activities, both to inform the Nigeria and International public and to build solidarity with poor and excluded people seeking to exercise their rights and assume greater control over their lives.

• HBB addresses the health and well-being of people, animals, and the planet. In Nigeria and any part of the world regardless of race, gender, creed or political convictions

• We listen to and learn from poor people to identify and help them fulfill their own needs, encouraging them to lobby decision-makers in their own countries, and campaigning and calling for change from those who hold power on the international stage.

All those who think they can get away with the abuses of humans right, are fools because they lie to themselves, it will surely come back to them. what would it take from you to save a human life? what will you lose if you decide to feed a child? what would you lose in giving to the needy? lot of innocent souls are dieing every day and you think it is not your business, and yet you complain of people becoming violent and stealing killing just to survive... why not avert this situation and do something not to make the other wary to harm others.. lets save the world now from a catastrophe of a third world war.. i bet you this hungry and no hope people would make life miserable for you who think nothing will happen, you who think you have an empire and no one can bring it down, you who think your billions in the bank are safe. don't you know when the war comes the bank manager will run with some of the money and the lucky survivor will leave on it? and guess maybe you will survive the war, then you will definitely become poor like them. please start helping others who need your help, give them a life, a reason to smile, a reason not to go to war!!!.

Uganda Calls for Help.

In the north of Uganda, thousands of children have fallen ill with a fatal, incurable disease known as nodding disease. Communities are starting to panic and some people are losing hope as the medical community struggles to either find a cause or acure. Nodding Disease is "Spreading Quickly Across Africa.

Nodding disease takes toll on Kitgum school In Okidi Primary School, the condition has taken its toll as the majority of the learners are infected with the syndrome making learning difficult for them. Ms Atto “At the moment, we have 215 pupils out of the 365 enrolled inthe school. They are struggling to learn with the disease, thwarting their learning processes by continuous nodding and constant seizures even during lesions,” she said, addingthat the pupils are evidently disinterested in learning. Ms Atto said it’s a normal scenario to see every after one hour, a pupil convulsing, keeping the other children in distressful mood thinking that they could be next.

Special clinics were opened in several districts of northern Uganda to offer help to the victims. More than 200 sick children were brought to the clinics on Monday alone. At medical clinics, the children are sometimes treated with anti-convulsants and epilepsy drugs to reduce their symptoms. But no cure has been found. In some villages, up to a quarter of the children are afflicted by it, and a climate of fear is growing, although the disease itself does not appear to be infectious.

The syndrome has come to light, the government of Uganda should stop hiding it from the public but rather take a bold step to address it.

Is it possible that "nodding disease" is coming from carrier pigs infected with a new chronic or subacute strain of African Swine Fever Virus? African Swine Fever has been a serious problem in Uganda. Scientists often quickly dismiss the notion of a human epidemic of African Swine Fever Virus because they think African Swine Fever Virus does not infect people. But that may not be the case. Sick or ASFV-infected pigs in places like Gulu, Anaka, Arua, Kitgum, Masindi, and Pader may be the source of a "nodding disease" zoonotic virus. Even if the pigsare not overtly sick, they could be carriers of a strain of this very insidious virus. African Swine Fever Virus infects many parts of the pigs body, including the brain. It causes serious neurological damage. It is also interesting to know that in some epidemics of African Swine Fever, it is mainly the young piglets that are affected which would be a strong parallel to "nodding disease." The ASFV-infected piglets suffer from ataxia, wasting, stunted growth, blindness, increased salivation, and opportunistic infections, just like the children with Nodding Disease.

"10000 times stronger killer of CANCER than Chemo".. do share it.. can save many lives, fill up hopes and build confidence in the patients...

The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo.

Why are we not aware of this? Its because some big corporation want to make back their money spent on years of research by trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale.

So, since you know it now you can help a friend in need by letting him know or just drink some sour sop juice yourself as prevention from time to time. The taste is not bad after all. It’s completely natural and definitely has no side effects. If you have the space, plant one in your garden.

This tree is low and is called graviola ! in Brazi l, guanabana in Spanish and has the uninspiring name “soursop” in English.

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."

15/09/2011

Psoriasis ( /səˈraɪ.əsɨs/) is a chronic immune-mediated disease that appears on the skin. It occurs when the immune system sends out faulty signals that speed up the growth cycle of skin cells. Psoriasis is not contagious. However, psoriasis has been linked to an increased risk of stroke. There are five types of psoriasis: plaque, guttate, inverse, pustular and erythrodermic. The most common form, plaque psoriasis, is commonly seen as red and white hues of scaly patches appearing on the top first layer of the epidermis (skin). Some patients, though, have no dermatological symptoms.

In plaque psoriasis, skin rapidly accumulates at these sites, which gives it a silvery-white appearance. Plaques frequently occur on the skin of the elbows and knees, but can affect any area, including the scalp, palms of hands and soles of feet, and ge****ls. In contrast to eczema, psoriasis is more likely to be found on the outer side of the joint.

The disorder is a chronic recurring condition that varies in severity from minor localized patches to complete body coverage. Fingernails and toenails are frequently affected (psoriatic nail dystrophy) and can be seen as an isolated symptom. Psoriasis can also cause inflammation of the joints, which is known as psoriatic arthritis. Between 10% and 40% of all people with psoriasis have psoriatic arthritis.

The cause of psoriasis is not fully understood, but it is believed to have a genetic component and local psoriatic changes can be triggered by an injury to the skin known as the Koebner phenomenon, see Koebnerisin. Various environmental factors have been suggested as aggravating to psoriasis, including stress, withdrawal of systemic corticosteroid, as well as other environmental factors, but few have shown statistical significance. There are many treatments available, but because of its chronic recurrent nature, psoriasis is a challenge to treat. Withdrawal of corticosteroids (topical steroid cream) can aggravate the condition due to the 'rebound effect' of corticosteroids but this may be followed by cure.
