Proof of fund is different from source of fund please know this to avoid any mistake.

SOF can be demonstrated in many forms, depending on your claim.

Do not just warehoused a huge sum of money and expect the embassy to be satisfied with it.

You must demonstrate the following

Origin of the funds
Who owns the funds
Are the funds exclusively available to you whilst in Europe
Relationship between you and your sponsor
Among many others

It is best you use documents to explain all

Most countries wants your sponsor to show a 6-month bank statement.

If you are using a sponsor, as of the time of application, your sponsor must have transferred the entire POF into the applicants account.

For example

You have a sponsor, your sponsor must submit a 6 month bank statement reflecting cash flows, incomes, and all.

Then, by the time you want to submit your application for visa, your sponsor will transfer the POF worth 13M NGN into your account as the main applicant.

While you submit a 6-month bank statement of your sponsor, make sure you submit your own bank statement for may be 1 month reflecting the 13M.

Meaning!! Your sponsor 6-month bank statement
Main applicant!!! May be a 1-month bank statement

Your cash flow is irrelevant since you are using a sponsor, especially when you have no responsibilities like children or dependent

The onus of the financial responsibility or burden is solely on your sponsor.

Then your sponsor can write a letter to introduce you, to show his means of livelihood and how he/she accumulate such huge amount of money then may be a payslip if the sponsor is on full time employment.

You have demonstrated proof / origin of funds with this method.

Also, note that there are numerous ways you can demonstrate this, but the most easiest one is this.

Straightforward and no red flag will be raised

1. Get Int'l passport

2. Write TOEFL/GRE/IELTS

3. Talk to your past lecturers about recommendation letters (This is usually hard)

4. Get your undergraduate transcript from your school.

5. Look for schools that offer your course.

6. Write an Academic CV

7. Send emails to Professors.

8. If you have HND or 2:2, do WES evaluation.

9. Write SOP/Motivation letter.

10. Apply to as many public scholarships as possible.

11. Make sure you secure a supervisor before you apply to that school or be sure you meet all admission/scholarship requirements.

12. Some schools (especially in the USA) do not require that you secure a supervisor, hence make sure your application package is competitive.

Quick Tips:

When applying into any University in Austria remove all grading such as "second class lower division" from your CV.

Let the university figure that out themselves especially for those with third class.

DO not point them to the direction of refusing your application.

But if you have a first class then you can leave it there and brag about it in your motivation letter.

Let it be a WIN-WIN situation.
