The best way to see and feel Amsterdam is from the canals, so with great pleasure I welcome you to my cozy houseboat! It is in front of the Zoo, so you will awake with the sounds of Africa! My houseboat is just about 15 minutes walk from the Central Station. The buzzing 'Nieuwmarkt' and the great Royal Palace on Dam Square, 15/20 min. Situated in the centre, you'll enjoy the canal boats passing by

. The kitchen is fully equipped with:
- Cooker
- Fridge
- Oven
- Microwave
- Dishwasher
- Tea and coffee machine
- Bedlinen and towels
- T.V. and stereo
- Wifi
- Central heating
- Bathroom with bath and shower

Outside on the balcony you can sit and enjoy life on the water! In the morning I will make a great breakfast to give you a good start to the day. The neighbourhood:

Nearby you will find;
• Public transport train/tram/subway
• Two supermarkets within 500 metres
• The Jewish Historical Museum is 5 min. walk
• The famous "Waterloo" Flea Market is 10 min. walk
• The Opera / Ballet (Stopera) is 10 min. walk
• Restaurants, bars and shops within a short walking distance.
• Flowermarket and Rembrandt Square are within an approximate 10/15 min walk
• Hermitage Museum 10 minutes walk.
• Rijksmuseum 30 minutes walk. Within walking distance you will find everything Amsterdam has to offer; the hip and buzzing city centre. The 'Nieuwmarkt' is one of Amsterdam's most charming squares with dozens of cool little cocktail bars and restaurants. There is a daily market on the square, as well as an organic food market on Saturdays and a market for antiques and books on Sundays. How to come.. If you are coming by plane to Schiphol Airport take the train to the centre of Amsterdam. It's cheaper and faster than a taxi. From Amsterdam Central Station it is about 15 minute walk to the houseboat. You can also take tram 9 or 14 to Artis. There is a parking for one car for €10,= p/day

House rules
Note: the accommodation is listed as a private room, what means that you can stay in a bedroom with a double bed. Please be advised that I will share my home with my guests, what means that I'm staying in my houseboat during your stay here. You will have full, shared access to all the amenities listed above. No smoking, and no drugs. It's not allowed to bring people from outside during your stay.

Alles wunderbar, sehr sympathische Unterkunft, da kommt man gerne wieder. Ankunft sehr unkompliziert, ebenso der gesamte Aufenthalt, Anneke hat mit allem dafür gesorgt dass wir uns willkommen und gut versorgt gefühlt haben - das Angebot hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen.

We only stayed one night but it couldn't have been lovelier. The location was easy walking distance to everything we explored, as well as to the tram to get around. Anneke's houseboat was beautiful inside and out - we loved sitting on the back porch watching boats go by in the canal. And finally, Anneke was a wonderful host. She shared several recommendations for the area, and cooked more breakfast than we could possibly have eaten!

Es war eine ganz besonders schöne Unterkunft auf dem Hausboot bei Anneke. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön, die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll und das ganze Flair der Unterkunft wie eine Auszeitoase. Anneke ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die für alle Fragen und Hilfestellungen ein Ohr hatte. Es gab für uns ein sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann, Müsli, frisches Obst, leckerer Saft Rührei, käse uns Wurst... Einfach herrlich. Für meine Tochter und mich die beste Übernachtung die wir je hatte. Vielen Dank Gabriele

We had a fantastic stay on this beautiful canal house boat. A unique experience with a fabulous host who exceeded our expectations. Delicious breakfast with lots of complimentary extras including fresh fruit, chocolates, biscuits, soft drinks, beer and wine! Anneke was warm, friendly and welcoming and went out of her way to help us. If you come to Amsterdam and want a unique experience in a lovely location then I highly recommend this B&B.

Anneke was a wonderful hostess. From little snacks and cold drinks to a lovely breakfast, she took excellent care of us. We had drinks on the deck of the houseboat and watched the parade of boats pass by. The location was perfect, maybe 15 or 20 minute walk to the central station, and the trolley could drop of us off, or pick us up every 10 mins or so. The neighborhood was clean, quite and safe, and there were places near by for drinks or food. The houseboat was clean, beautifully decorated with a nice big bathroom, shower and tub. We recommend staying here.
