SUP yoga is practicing yoga on a stand up paddle board (SUP board) in the middle of a body of water. Both Yoga and Stand Up Paddle boarding are great for building strength, balance and coordination as well as encouraging mindfulness, peace and inner calm. By combining the two we can bring awareness to the physical body and mind. It is one of the best ways for practice mindfulness, be present and i

ntentional with all your movements and thoughts. It will require your full presence in the practice as well as more strength, balance and focus. Doing yoga on a SUP engages muscles that you may neglect during your on-land practice. Another amazing benefit to practice SUP yoga, that you will be outdoors, in the water which will allow you to leave all your thoughts and worries on the shore, and just enjoy this time being with nature, water and yourself. You will be breathing in fresh air with every pose you do and when you open your eyes, you can appreciate the beautiful scenery of Oslo city. Welcomed are beginners and advanced yogis. No worries if you have never Stand Up Paddled before, or done yoga, this experience is for all levels. If it will be your first time on SUP board, please show up 10 min earlier so we can instruct you on how to use the board

About the SUP yoga class. Class is 75 minutes in length from our on land staring point to the paddling back. We will start our journey in Sorenga and will paddle all the way to Munch museum enjoying scenery of the Oslo city. Classes include all equipment. If you choose to bring your own equipment please mention that when reserving the spot. For SUP yoga dress accordingly in clothes suitable for yoga, we will be barefoot and you can always grab a pair of socks and a warmer jumper with you on the board. In addition, before you leave your house be sure to check the weather, that way you can be prepared if it is going to be colder than expected. Price – NOK 450

If you have your own SUP board and equipment
To book a spot please write to SUP yoga Oslo (Facebook) or (Instagram). Cancel your reservation no later than 24 hrs in advance, to ensure others can book your spot. After that, it’s NOK 200 for the late cancellation or if you miss the class. When planning the SUP yoga classes we are taking into account weather forecast, but as we all know, you never know what to expect. If we are canceling the class due to the unsuitable weather you will receive 100% refund. You can book an individual SUP yoga class, or private group class (minimum 3 people). Price for individual SUP yoga class – NOK 700
Price for private group SUP yoga class – 450 per person. About me. My name is Aija and I am a yoga teacher who stands behind SUP yoga Oslo. I am a qualified Hatha yoga teacher and a postnatal yoga teacher. I have been SUPing and doing sup yoga for more than 7 years and would like to show you that SUP and Yoga is a perfect match. Imagine doing yoga on the surface of the water, being so close to the nature, makes you feel more alive than ever. It is amazing experience to explore yourself and all around you. Join me for some SUP fun, creative and practical yoga class, where we will approach mind and body. I believe that yoga is very practical tool which can change and improve our wellbeing in a most amazing way. The moment when world is waking up afresh, brand new, city is soothing and serene. Universe is inviting to see the most impressive sight one can ever witness. And it not only looks beautiful but also gives us new hope and new beginnings. It brings joy, embrace our creativity and allows us to stay tuned with nature. It is time when we are not sleeping, but also not fully awake yet. Time when we can see, hear and feel ourselves very clearly, without any roles we all hold through our day. Are you SUP Yoga newbie and don’t really know what to expect from it?🤨😬

So let me guide you trough😉
💦 We will start our class on land with SUP intro - how to stand, sit, paddle and act on the board. You will be provided with all equipment, including life west🏄🏼‍♀️
💦 We will paddle to our Yoga spot, on the way we will practice paddling, balance and enjoy the view.
💦We will do yoga.
My approach for yoga classes I lead, whatever they are on land or on the water, that yoga is for EVERYBODY. I have alternatives and solutions for all levels and all needs.
💦We will paddle around, have fun, take some pictures and enjoy our time.

We might face some waves, some wind what will move our boards back and forth, but that’s why yoga practice on SUP is so unique and close to the real life. We will practice and improve our balance, patience, strength and resistance to all obstacles that might come.
And one more thing.. have been teaching SUP yoga classes for 6 years, and everyone who comes to the classes was trying it for the first time🥰and guess what, they did it great, enjoyed it and no, they didn’t fell into the water 😊

Hello :) wanted to say Hi and couple words about me and SUP yoga Oslo.
Exactly 6 years ago, I organised my first SUP yoga session, it was absolutely spontaneous idea, but turned out to be my passion. When I moved to Oslo, I couldn't resist the smell of the sea water, that colour..it was so tempting, that I found myself again on the SUP board, inviting everyone I know to experience SUP yoga in centre of the city.
SUP yoga Oslo consist of two parties, myself and my friends .
I am certified yoga teacher, certified personal trainer and very passioned and enthusiastic human in general😁 and my friends at (www.supadventuresnorge.no ) are SUP enthusiasts and provides us with one of the best SUP boards I have ever done yoga, and their advice and support on SUP technique if needed.

While we wait for sunny days and upcoming SUP yoga sessions, let’s look back to the very first SUP yoga experience we had last autumn. 😍We explored the waters and had our first test run for SUP yoga sessions in Oslo.
This water is so tempting, so I already can’t wait for this season’s classes which will happen already this upcoming weekend. 🔥🎉
