Nepal's Only Train: A One-Day Journey of a Lifetime

The Janakpurdham - Jaynagar Train Safari is famous for its unique status as the only cross-border railway service between Nepal and India, offering a scenic journey through the Terai region and a cultural experience for tourists and locals alike.

One-day itinerary for the YOLO Train Experience:
10:30 AM - Arrive at the railway station in Janakpur by a local electrical rickshaw/cab.
11:00 AM - Board the Janakpur-Jaynagar Train. This train journey is known for its scenic route and offers a unique travel experience.
1:00 PM - Arrive at Jaynagar (INDIA). You have 2 hours for shopping. Explore the local markets and purchase souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones.
3:00 PM - Return to the railway station to board the return train to Janakpur.
5:30 PM - Arrive back in Janakpurdham.

1 Day JANAKPURDHAM + DHANUSHADHAM SIGHTSEEING

• Pick up from Janakpurdham airport.
• Visit the Ganga Sagar, the pond where Lord Rama bathed after the Ashwamedha Yagya.
• Visit the historical Dhanush Sagar & Shree Ram Temple.
• Visit the Janaki Temple, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sita and considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Nepal.
• Visit the Bibaha Mandap, a temple dedicated to the wedding of Sita and Rama.
• Return to local restaurant for lunch & local lassi followed by paan.
• Visit the Mani Mandap (Ram-Sita Vivah Mandap), the site where Lord Rama and Sita were married according to Hindu mythology.
• Visit the Dhanusha Dham Temple (30 km), where Lord Rama's bow was broken during his wedding ceremony.
• Explore the Janakpurdham, the historic center of the city and home to many other temples and shrines.
• Transfer to Janakpurdham airport for your flight back.
