Khiraule Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Nepal estd in 1738, is a popular local tourist destination in Panch Pokhari Mera Peak Trek, Everest Region, Solukhumbu. The monastery is surrounding by tall pine trees and thus, is highly appreciated by visitors. It is also known for its mesmerizing and unique external design. Every month of "Dashami" (Tenth Moon Day) is a special day for villagers to pry and puja at Monastery. Because the tenth moon day is Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) birthday.

Some ladder action from the Khumbu Icefall in 2017. I generally found the ladders super exciting, via ferrata on crack. My big old size 48 feet meant the crampons were almost exactly the same size as the ladder rungs and kept getting stuck. Trying to unstick them without losing balance and falling off completely took some practice but we got there in the end. Alas no summit for me that year but hopefully I'll get another go sometime soon! Overcoming fear may seem frightening for some people, but for others (including myself) it is very exciting. One of the most common mistakes I’ve seen is assuming that fear represents weakness, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Acknowledging our fear makes us embrace our vulnerability, allowing us to feel our limits, for later finding our strength. And here I am, crossing steel ladders on Khumbu icefalls on my way to summit Everest. These crevasses can have a depth of hundreds of meters, but this was probably one of the coolest moments in my life. Yes, I was having fun.
