Our North Col member Mr. Christer of Sweden climbed North Col 7000m and he is on his way to the Base Camp. Brother Chhiring Dorje Sherpa, Rolwaling Excursion's founder and Expedition Sirdir/Guide, reached the summit of Everest, today at 10 AM (china time) marking his 17th Summit of Everest. This includes 16 Summits from North and 1 Summit from South Side.

Chhiring started the climb from Advanced Base Camp to North Col ,7000m. yesterday and after taking couple hours of rest continued for the summit push from North Col, at 9 PM China Time.

Our entire family at Rolwaling Excursion feels proud and express appreciations to brother Chhiring Dorje Sherpa.

Chhiring's Summit of Everest, today, is dedicated to to celebrate 20 Years Anniversary of Rolwaling Excursion. This year Rolwaling Excursion marks 20 years of offering trekking and expedition services.

Everest North Col and Everest Expedition 2024

Our Everest North Col and Everest North Expedition 2024 team are heading towards Base Camp. On 9 May the team flew to Timure then crossed the Tibet/China border and arrived in Kyirong, where they stayed two nights for acclimatization. Today they head to Tingri and stay two nights.

Himlung Summit

RE|Tryggaresor Swedish Himlung Expedition 2023 team have reached summit of Mt. Himlung today. Three swedish member along with four Sherpa crew summited today morning. They have all descended safely to Camp 3 and will continue to Camp 2 today.

MAY 29 - EVEREST ANNIVERSARY

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the First Ascent of Mount Everest , 8848m, the highest mountain on Earth. On this day in 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Sherpa stood on the top of Everest, thus achieving one of the most remarkable achievements in human history and paving a way forward for the high altitude mountaineering.

We at Rolwaling Excursion wish to celebrate this day by remembering Sir Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay and the entire team of 1953 Everest Expedition. Meantime, we wish everyone Happy Everest Anniversary and particularly to all our friends who have achieved their Everest dream with us at Rolwaling Excursion since 2004.

Nepal - Autumn season treks and climbs happening in full swing here at Rolwaling Excursion. And good news is coming from all teams who are currently in the mountains.

Our Swedish Everest Base Camp Tryggaresor Team have made it to Everest Base Camp. Also, Swedish Lobuche Expedition has sucessfully summited Lobuche East today morning. Similarly Dutch team in Mera Peak has summitted Mera Peak.

RE Manaslu Expedition 2021

Completing acclimatization trek to Pungnyen and Samdo Peak our RE Manaslu Expedition member Gustav Orbring is arriving at BC today. Rope fixing team is expected to fix ropes to Camp1 and Camp2 within next few days. So as soon as route is fixed our first climbing rotation shall begin.

Sagarmatha Day (Mount Everest Day)

Exactly 68 years ago - on May 29, 1953, the historic ascent of Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) was made by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Since then, either directly or indirectly following the footsteps of these two legendary climbers, climbers around the world dream and come to climb Everest every year. Particularly, Sherpas from Khumbu and Rolwaling region followed in the footsteps of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and they continue to do so. Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) has not only provided a means of livelihood but a fame and recognition for the Sherpa across the world.

Thus, in commemoration, gratitude and tribute to the historic first ascent of Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) we celebrate the Sagarmatha Day. And the entire Rolwaling Excursion team wishes a very warm greetings of the Sagarmatha day.

Since last year our expeditions to Everest North Side have been postponed due to the pandemic and we are hopeful that in 2022 we will be able to organise expedition to Sagarmatha from the north side.
