How is transmigration created?

The original condition of our mind is pure but since there are adventitious obstacles we do not recognise this original purity. When this recognition is lacking, illusory thoughts arise. Illusory means that thoughts are not something real. Thoughts can cause actions conditioned by the passions, and the positive and negative actions thus accumulated become in their turn primary causes, like seeds with the capacity to produce certain effects. All of this is referred to by the term karma.
