Today is - literally sacred thread full moon - Hindu festival, when men practice the annual ritual of changing - worn across chest. - thread of protection - are also tied around one's wrists. This day is also celebrated as when sisters tie thread around brothers' wrists to mark the close sibling bond.

After the rituals, the day is usually enjoyed feasting on delicacies, especially - lentil sprout - varieties and spending time with family. We wish all celebrating a Happy Janai Purnima!

The world’s second longest suspension bridge “Gandaki Golden Bridge” or “Gandaki Sunaulo Jhula” connects Aduwari in Baglung to Kushma in Parbat districts Pradesh . The 567m long bridge is suspended 122m over River Kali Gandaki and has capacity of 85 MT and can carry 612 people at a time. Do not forget to visit the bridge site when you travel to the region next time.
