Seems like the rain-god is kind of jaded triggering the tumultuous rainy 'rock n roll' over the past few weeks. With the sun out bright and warm, the weather at the moment seems like a panacea to all the predicaments inflicted by the catastrophic heavy downpours. The crystal clear mountains echo the assessment, don't they?

How does it feel like getting home from a long adventure? Well, 'cozy and comfy' is not the answer for me. I reckon being away home, I grow out a bit in the wilds and actually find myself akin to an unfitting piece in the puzzle of domesticity!!! Do you feel the same way???

Friday is here again, with a soft and pleasant undercurrent of weekend. The laid-backs would perhaps make this recess a conventional jamboree, while the mavericks gear up for a nature thrill! C’mon, lethargically sauntering up and down the long familiar staircases does not make us good hikers…for that, we need to trudge along the treacherous trails to the mountains!

It was a pulsating experience touring with the nine mavericks from the “Old Boys (OB) Group” in Japan. We wheeled around Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, Pokhara and Chitwan. While this is the first ever Nepal visit for some of these OBs, the others are here for their 7th time!!! The six days’ trip wrapped up with lot of exultations and hosannas. Walking around the once quake wrecked premises which are now incredibly tidied up, the OBs could not refrain from saying “wow, did the earthquake actually ever rattle this country?”
Be it the architectural masterpiece of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the soothing ambience of the fascinating lakes in Pokhara or the titanic wilderness of the Chitwan National Park, the guests were simply flabbergasted witnessing the grandeur of this tiny Himalayan realm. Sampling the succulent Nepali cuisines, the OBs looked so satiated. They are going back all jacked up and committed to return to Nepal soon with more OBs. Well, what can we say……we eagerly look forward to welcoming these handsome, witty, zippy and adorable old lads to Nepal once again!!! :)
