Our Story
Kasthamandap Traveller's Home is a property that prides itself in letting its happy guests do most of the praising for it but to mention a short description; we are a hostel/traveller's home with very affordable pricing. Always filled with backpackers from around the world singing, laughing, dancing and sharing wonderful experiences. All those who come here become part of the family very quickly and make this home for extended periods. The rooftop restaurant offers hot, freshly made delicious food a la carte. Also present a cosy book exchange library in a sheltered, carpeted space. Not to forget the relaxing hammock with a view of the mountains. Located on the outskirts of the busy and touristy Thamel area of Kathmandu in Paknajol. Due to its location, one can enjoy the peace and calm while staying here whilst also being in walking distance of the tourist district of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhu Stupa, two of the cities biggest attractions are twenty minute walking distance from the hostel. One can find the streets of Thamel filled with stores offering an array of backpacking, hiking and trekking gear. Also found here are a ton of handicraft, h**p goods and wool goods stores. Restaurants and bakeries offering almost every global cuisine and a vibrant night life are nearby.
