There is hardly an adventure destination as bewitching as Nepal, yet there is not a single publication in the country wholly devoted to travel, adventure sports, and the wilderness. The best stories from the outdoors don’t make it to our doorsteps. The Himalayan Outdoors is a place for lovers of the active lifestyle to tell their tales. We hope their stories – your stories – will inspire others to

embark on their own adventures. Although we are focused more on stories from Nepal, we are also interested in stories from further afield, from all over the world. For us, what matters most is the experience and the telling. Besides entertaining and inspiring, our stories are aimed to inform and educate people about aspects of the outdoors lifestyle like health and fitness, destinations, gear and equipment. The label ‘adventurer’ does not belong only to the one who is the first to do something; it is, we believe, applicable to each individual who steps away from the coziness of routine life every now and then to answer a calling long suppressed.
