Our story begins back in 1963, when a group of likeminded Canterbury farmers gathered to find a way to lower costs and ensure a more sustainable future for their farming operations. 60 years later, we're still obsessed with that vision, just like we're still obsessed with agriculture.

Peter Jacob has been with Ruralco for 22 years and says that the people are what keeps him here, including staff, customers and the community that surrounds our co-operative. Pete has worked in various roles within the business and currently works as Compliance Manager and remains a proud member of the Ruralco team.

Raewyn Maw Interview 2023
With a background in veterinary nursing and a passion for farming, Raewyn Maw began her journey with Ruralco in 1999 when she returned from her OE.
After leaving to start a family in 2004, Raewyn returned to Ruralco in 2018 in the Inwards Goods team. Last year, Raewyn moved to the Ashburton store as a retail assistant, specialising in animal health and groceries in the store. Learn more about Raewyn's story in her interview.
