✈️Such a fabulous asset in our district, the Ashburton Aviation Museum is a treasure trove of all things aviation. Over 40 meticulously preserved aircraft, including some of the rarest gems in aviation history.

💚Recently the crew from Roady were in town and got to experience this brilliant experience at Erewhon Station Horse Stud in the Hakatere Conservation Park.

Sit back and enjoy a wagon ride drawn by these majestic clydesdales, travel across the high-country farm and soak in the raw beauty of this area.

One for the bucket list, for sure!💚

🍀Yessss! Finally a long weekend is in sight!
If you're looking for things to do this Labour Weekend, look no further, we have two local markets running this weekend, our regular Saturday Ashburton Farmers Market and the first weekend of the Methven Arts & Growers Market. The Plains Railway & Historical Museum are holding open days on Saturday and Sunday, The NZ Alpine & Agriculture Encounter at Mt Hutt Memorial Hall Methven is open all weekend where you can spend an amazing couple of hours of interactive fun. While you're there you can check out their latest art exhibitions and you could then attend the opening of the Ashburton Art Gallery exhibition of Esther Deans, Jane Venis and Jenna Packer. Take a stroll through Trott’s Garden, a dip in Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa, raise your adrenalin with Dirt Bandits or Adventure Balloons NZ, take the family cycling down the tracks at Bike Methven or on a walk to The Lake House at Lake Hood or to view Awa Awa Rata Reserve in all its glory at the moment. It’s the first day of spring, and what a day ☀️Enjoy this beautiful day out and about, Trott’s Garden are opening The Brantwood Arms and have food and fun available for the whole family. The Plains Railway & Historical Museum are hosting an open day and have the K88 in action today. Both locations open from 11 am to 4pm today. You could take your Dad along too 😉💚
