Here are a few photos of, and from, Leandras beautiful Avalon cruise ship. Only 90 passengers onboard and over 40 staff. Needless to say guests feel very well looked after!

The 'sailaway' from Budapest is stunning with all the illuminated buildings along the banks of the Danube. First stop Bratislava, Slovakia where this guy popped up to say 'Hello'!!!

Leandra and Phil have been exploring beautiful Budapest. Ornate coffee houses, Heroes Square, St Stephen's Basilica and the Shoe Memorial on the banks of the Danube - a stark reminder of Hungary's tragic history. Also, the Little Princess statue said to bring good luck if you rub her knee and make a wish! Today they board their Avalon river cruise to sail the Danube, Rhine and Main rivers.

Last week saw Leandra and Phil winging their way to Europe!!! This trip was booked for 2020 and so like many of you, they have waited a long time. First stop Amsterdam where they took a Jewish history walking tour and visited Anne Frank house. Leandra said "Amazing, learnt so much and very moving. There may have been tears, more than once"

...and that's a wrap! Other than a wee whoops from Robyn, all went perfectly. A very good reminder of the importance of travel insurance!!!! Disembarked our ship this morning, now just waiting for our flight home to Blenheim. Big thanks to P&O for hosting us on our wee jaunt. How nice to be cruising and travelling again!!!

Today we were at Moreton Island. And although the sun wasn't shining, the humpback whales were certainly playing and showing off! A gorgeous pizza dinner at 400 Gradi, and now off to a show!

Beautiful night last night for our Sailaway through Sydney Harbour...now heading up the Queensland Coast and we'll be at Tangalooma Island Resort, Moreton Island tomorrow.

💜 AND...From 11:59pm Friday 4 March, fully-vaccinated New Zealanders and eligible travellers arriving from the rest of the world will also be able to enter without isolating upon arrival.

Time to start planning for travel again! 2 years ago today, Robyn was returning from the Magnificent Europe Budapest to Amsterdam Avalon River Cruise. What an experience!!!
