Road Touring Highlights.
Aldo joined me from Australia this week for a 1 Day Road Tour for his birthday thanks to his lovely wife Aurore, and it was a real pleasure showcasing some of our coastal and back country scenic routes through Canterbury. Happy birthday mate :-)
While, Brent was a seasoned rider, Blair was back in the saddle after a 30 year break. Both took to it like champs, carving up the tarmac, then onto gravel with ease, so we threw in some farm track and a couple water crossings! It was a total blast, and i can see Blair perusing the trademe motorbike section very soon :-)

Huge thanks to the legends at Canterbury Mini MX Club today who helped young Ryder take on his first training day. Very proud as he tackled a lot of firsts, ending with a lot of flying laps! Well done young man!
Alan made the most of his last week in New Zealand with a trip around the South Island on one of our Suzuki Vstrom DL1000.

Managed to grab a couple bikes in between hires for a quick ride through Lees Valley. Always puts a smile on my face, and spotted a few trout in one of the rivers… I won’t say which, cos I’ll head back with my rod 🤣

Ian popped over from Aussie and grabbed a 1 Day Guided Tour with us. Blowing an absolute gale , we made a route change and went up the east coast, hiding behind the ranges from the nor wester.
Out through Cheviot, the scenic winding curves of leader road, and back home through waiau Culverden and Amberley.
Then bikes away and a cold one to finish off at the Mandy in Kaiapoi.

Father and son travelling together around the South Island. Tony and Jed spent a week exploring some of our best scenic roads and backcountry areas. Asking if they could have the bikes dropped off in Queenstown, finishing in Christchurch. We fitted them with clothing and helmets and a full tank of gas and off they went.
While in Queenstown, i had enough time to get over to Invercargill for a feed of seafood, a quick visit to E Hayes, and a trip to the best motorcycle museum in the country. Over 400 motorbikes on display. Awesome!!!

Jeremy took advantage of our 1 Day Guided Tours while visiting Christchurch recently. Two back to back 1 Day Tours, over 950ks in a back country ride through Canterbury.
Supplying his bike, clothing, helmet and guide, we covered shingle, farm track and scenic highway through Canterbury's favourite bike routes with the locals. And even had time for a feed of mussels at the Pier Hotel in Kaikoura.

Julie wanted to experience backcountry riding as well as our scenic roads, while including some coastal scenery and some tourist hotspots. With limited riding experience we opted for a one on one 3 Day Guided Tour.
Creating a personal route, we included Hanmer springs and enjoyed the local restaurants and infamous Hot Pools, and then on to Kaikoura for some delicious local seafood and an evening kayak with the seals and dolphins.
We mixed up the tour with 2 days riding and 1 day vehicle, and experienced a range of scenic mountain and coastal routes, fun attractions and some great food with awesome company.

Got out for a play on one of these in the weekend with a loop through Lewis and Arthur’s passes. Performed as you’d expect! Even a couple hours rain through the coast couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

Congratulations to Rosco Contracting who took part in last month’s competition run by “I.B.T.” Industrial Brake and Track. You and two mates have won an all-inclusive 2 Day Guided Adventure Motorcycle Tour with Rideabikenz.
