✈️ The Evolution of Boom Supersonic's 'Overture' Over the Past Two Years

✈️ Founded in 2014, Boom Supersonic aims to revolutionize air travel with its Overture jet, designed to fly at Mach 1.7.

✈️ The Overture, capable of carrying 88 passengers, will significantly reduce travel times, such as cutting the New York to London flight to just 3.5 hours. The first prototype is expected in 2025, with commercial flights projected by 2029.

✈️ United Airlines has already placed an order for 15 Overtures, with options for 35 more, contingent on meeting safety and sustainability standards.

✈️ Although currently only a virtual render, the Overture's design has seen considerable changes in recent years. The top image shows the initial design, while the bottom displays the current one.

In 872CE King Harald Fairhair gathered all of Norway on the shore of Hafrsfjord and created one Kindom. The insuing Battle of Hafrsfjord between Harald and the other Viking kings unified the warring clans under King Harald around 880CE. The monument to these events are three giant bronze Viking swords called Swerd l Fjell. The hilts are replicas of Viking swords from around Norway.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa, famous for its amazing tilt. From its construction, in 1173, the tower began to lean after 3 floors were built. The architects decided to build the top floors diagonally, in an attempt to compensate for the oscillation of the tower.
