The South Island crew had an amazing time at Stronechrubie on Saturday. The food was fantastic. We also farewelled Phil after 18 years of service. Thanks to the staff, we had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. Even had the grinch turn up. ✅

Yesterday we said farewell to one of Downlands’ original drivers, Derek Hume. Derek was an integral part of Downlands early days helping out Keith as a casual/ relief driver. Derek was methodical in his work and often very analytical when jobs were completed. In the mid- late 80’s things were very much more primitive than today and it was Keith and Derek that soldiered on. There were a lot of laughs and time for a beer or 2. Our family will miss one of the all round ”Good Bastards” in this world.
