Baby dolphins! 😍
It is not very often we are able to play with Hector’s Dolphins because they are shy, small mammals...and not many of them. So it was such a treat to see them with a baby!

Did you know the name 'cormorant' is derived from the Latin corvus marinus, meaning “sea crow”.
I recently captured this cormorant taking flight - they can actually reach speeds of up to 55kph.
This one had a shaky start though (a bit like my filming. 🤣

"We had asked for an in- depth look at Kaikoura post-earthquake, 14 Nov 2016, as we had had no luck researching and finding on the internet peoples' stories and the actual impact on Kaikoura and the aftermath.
Delwyn arranged for us to meet three people who were in the earthquake and it was so interesting to talk to them and get the human side of that night. We were shown the physical impact on the land (which was massive) and were given the information to go with the sights we saw...the amount of rock that came down in slips, the uplift of the shoreline, and the physical size of the quake...how far it extended.
It was exactly what we were after and we so appreciated the time she spent with us.🥰 We'll talk about it for months and will certainly recommend Delwyns' tours to anyone coming to Kaikoura."
