Meet the team.
This is Gordy – Gordy has been installing heatpumps with Smart Air since 2019. He is a bit of a “Jack of all trades” and has a lot of knowledge about how lots of things work as well as heatpumps. A friendly chap, it’s a running joke that Gordy knows someone everywhere we go. Gordy loves cars and bikes and is an expert at squeezing into tight ceiling spaces.

MYTH 5: It dosn't matter where your heatpump is located for it to work efficiently
FACT: Actually the location of the indoor unit can have a significant impact of how well it works! It's recommended to avoid having your heatpump next to obstructions, direct sunlight, light fixtures and other electrical appliances (like your kitchen rangehood for example) these can all affect temperature sensing and how well the air flows from the unit.

Myth 4: Heatpumps / Air conditioners only cool
FACT: A reverse cycle heatpump / air conditioning system can cool and heat your home. They respond to a thermostat set at the temperature you choose whatever time of year. So they won't overheat a room as the air is evenly distributed (unlike electric heaters).
