What a wonderful article - Really makes you want to go there at night. Many years of fantastic work by dedicated humans! we can't do night but we certainly can get you there during the day!!!

In fading light, a fairy prion returns to its roost on Mana Island as a host of nocturnal creatures are just beginning their day. After concerted conservation efforts, the island is now a hive of activity after dark.

The heroes of Mana Island! FOMI in 2021 completed the 3rd translocation of white faced storm petrel's. 100 transported placed in artificial burrows - 97 fledged, total of 243 fledged in 3 years! They had fantastic support from DOC, OMV New Zealand Ltd supporter's and volunteers. This is what its all about! Thanks FOMI your team are legends
