There’s no business like snow business! Finally the white stuff is falling in Queenstown today. This was a very special treat for this mornings Melbourne guests who had never seen snow falling before today. A memorable outing.

We get lots of returning customers at Segway on Q. Some return a year or 2 later, several years later or on occasions, even the next day. For Hayden & Peta Frost from WA, it had been 15 years! What's more, since then, they'd had a couple of kids, Tasman & Taj, and now the kids were big enough to ride too. Thanks for joining us again guys!

It's always great to welcome past guests back again. Whether it be with the same friends, family or partner or new friends, family or even partners. You know you'll have a good time no matter who you're with.

Segway on Q is in the top 5% of activities listed on Trip Advisor in Queenstown! While it's not as good as our 2019 #3 in the South Pacific and #1 for the South Island about 10yrs ago, it's still great to maintain a relatively constant high standard. Thank you reviewers!

It always great to see all the wonderful reviews come in from our customers. While we can see the joy and happiness in their faces, a written review, after we've said our goodbye's really confirms it.
A fantastic mention came through on facebook yesterday and this one was emailed to me last weekend;

Thank you Kevin for a 2 hour exhilarating Segway experience around iconic Queenstown. We had never ridden on Segways prior to this experience. However, your training and guidance quickly put us both at ease. We had an absolute blast and the stunning Queenstown scenery made for some beautiful photos memories. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone. We are in our 60’s and would enjoy this experience again in a heartbeat. Thanks and hope to see you again in the future. Queenstown volunteer firefighters joined us today for a bit of team building fun. Gui, Jordan, Hayden & Mark were met by teammates on way providing this great photo op. Segway on Q is happy to support Queenstown Volunteer Fire Brigade and all the great work they’re doing.

Maintenance time.
Completely stripped this Segway yesterday to change the chassis. Why? Because a couple of the gearbox bolts wouldn’t tighten in old chassis. That meant I had to transfer every single part from a Segway to a new chassis. Job done and with a bunch of other maintenance jobs recently I’m ready for Summer.

Summer Holidays Booming Time!

Wow, it’s been great being busy again! I’ve had loads of mainly bigger groups out over the past month. Thanks for choosing Segway on Q! By the look of your reviews you’ve had a fantastic time.

After working everyday since Christmas (26th straight day today), I’ll be taking a break from tomorrow and closing the business for a week to recharge the human batteries this time instead of the Segway ones.

Operations will resume on Sunday 29th Jan 2023. I look forward to seeing more of you then.

Conservation Week 2022 was held earlier this month. Segway on Q took a moment to act for nature. Our customers took a few minutes at the start of our tours to help with the control of wilding pines. By the end of the week, Segway on Q customers had removed over 1000 of these invasive trees!

Had an interesting day yesterday with a TVNZ crew filming for a new dating show. Jess & Jason joined me for a Segway trip which was filmed for a new show called The Ex Best Thing. Jess’ blind date was arranged by Jess’ ex. Keep an eye out for it around May on TVNZ & on demand.

Not only were the Segways captured in the filming but additional Segways were used FOR the filming. The camera crew had never used them before but loved them so much they’ve hired them again today to film a bike tour.

Rain, lightning & thunder didn’t stop this couple today. Rebecca & David Schmidt weren’t interested in rescheduling despite the conditions. They definitely had loads more fun on the Segways than they would have sitting in their hotel room.
