We are passionate about sustainability here across all our businesses; The Camp, Cross Hill Lodge & Domes and Glen Dene Hunting & Fishing and Glen Dene Station.

If you too are passionate about sustainability, our planet and people and want to learn how to implement regenerative practice, then the 2021 Aotearoa WAO Summit, held in Wanaka and Queenstown, is for you. We need to act now to decarbonise our economy, restore and increase biodiversity and ensure we look after the wellbeing of our communities along the way.

We play our part on a daily basis, with an array of sustainable practices we implement to ensure we leave our land better than when we found it. We are always looking at ways to gather knowledge, share our knowledge and together create a better future.

We are over the moon to hear that Glen Dene Hunting & Fishing has made the finals of the New Zealand Experience Awards 😀 Bring on the awards ceremony at the end of the month! This reflects the hard work, passion, resilience and leadership owners Sarah and Richard have shown in creating a true New Zealand experience and forging ahead with the building of the despite a global pandemic!

Chair of the Judging Panel, Sue Parcell says that the entries truly reflect the enormous contribution that tourism businesses make to communities in which they operate.

“These are operators that have the elements of manaakitanga, tiaki and whānau firmly embedded in their offering and during the past 18 months they have continued delivering an outstanding experience for domestic visitors. What is more apparent is how these businesses have supported and engaged with their local communities and team members through a broad range of positive initiatives. We have been impressed by the high calibre of entries received for these awards, and the judging panel have been inspired and amazed by what they have seen”.

Have you seen what's been happening at the back of The Camp? We are stoked to launch this week our Cross Hill Lodge and Domes. Nestled in a private part of the forest-like grounds just minutes from , they are available now and year-round. With modern en-suite bathrooms, heating and great decor, they are the perfect hideaway for winter.. Checkout our video for a sneak peek into the domes and life at the station and our region.

We will be launching this week. Excited after such a long time planning to get these beautiful domes open -and just in time for the border to Aus opening too!
