A common seabird to sight on all of our tour options is the Kāruhiruhi or Pied s**g! They can be seen nesting in the Whitianga river at the moment tending to their recently hatched chicks as well as fishing year round along our coast and rivers. Our crew are full of interesting facts on these awesome birds and we are excited to share them with you throughout our journey!
