Stepping away from south island for a post to celebrate dark sky week as I didn’t get any on this last south island trip due to full moon and weather 😔 🌌 this image was taken at otama, did you know that Otama one of my favourite places on earth along side Opito and Kuaotunu are working towards a being a dark sky reserve.

No Dogs on Otama Beach except the far Eastern corner of the beach Most of the local beaches have nesting birds so please if you see signs and fencing put your dog on a lead to help our dotterels have a successful breeding season Thank you
