Located 1500 km from Tahiti, the Marquesas archipelago comprises 6 populated islands. High mountains, wild nature and breathtaking waterfalls are the main features of the Marquesas. Added to this are the tiki sculptures (which are representations of gods), the many tattoo motifs and, of course, their traditional dance called 'Haka'. Living in the Marquesas means living differently, riding horses and hunting game for banquets.

By the way, on July 26, 2024, the Marquesas archipelago was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a source of great pride for the entire archipelago. This award represents absolute recognition for the Marquesans and will enable the whole world to discover this unique culture on Earth.

Let yourself be surprised and carried away by the unique charm of the Marquesas!

Whale watching in French Polynesia is a popular and breathtaking experience, offering visitors the chance to observe humpback whales in their natural habitat. The best time for whale watching is between July and November however the local regulation allows the activity only from mid August to mid November.

Whales cross the oceans to mate and give birth in warmer waters. Weighing in around 30 tonnes, it's not hard to spot a playing whale and its calf.
