Original Lion's Head was sculpted by Mr. Anselmo B. Day-Ag symbolizing their Lion's Club Organization and, making it as the landmark & the iconic symbol of the Summer Capital of the Philippines.
Mr. Anselmo B. Day-Ag was also the sculptor of the "Eagle of the North in La Union and the Marcos Head Bust". "The First Mass" mural on wood which was displayed at the capitol of Tacloban City was also one of his works that were gifted to the province by Mrs. Imelda R. Marcos.
He was the one who designed the Philippines Plaza's waterfall, slide and pool, including the Manila Garden hotel's Japanese garden. Also the Kiangan War Memorial Park in Ifugao, and Dalton's Pass Memorial in Santa Fe, Nueva Viscaya. ( September 22, 1980 newspaper article)
